Local Law Enforcement
Roughly fifty vehicles have been covered with what seems to be blood from a person in the Germany's town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.
Automobiles, walls and postal boxes were vandalized, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they announced in a release.
Police report they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a individual discovered that a car in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a reddish liquid.
The liquid had been placed in the pattern of a banned symbol, they reported.
Police then located multiple other smeared vehicles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.
Swastikas are illegal in Germany under legislation banning the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.
Law enforcement state initial examinations indicate the fluid was likely human bodily fluid.
"Currently there is no indication as to where it came from; authorities are not yet cognizant of any physical harm in association with the incident," they stated.
Local authorities said they were trying "to solve the case" and have requested to the residents for details.
A high-ranking representative stated the incident left him stunned and had to be solved quickly.
"This incident affects the center of Hanau and reopens the pain of the right-wing attack five years ago," he stated on a platform, recalling the murder of nine victims by a assailant aiming at individuals of migrant background in 2020.
